Never have I ever seen a home ice cream maker w/ a refrigeration unit built in. Works too, quieter than I thought but there was frost in the bowl within a few minutes.

Got 90% of the original recipes still legible too, anything I should try? Thinking maple walnut or maple brown sugar….I made a lot of maple syrup last spring.

I’ve seen this machine pop up on this sub a few times. I love the tagline, “The ice cream boy” πŸ˜…

I have this same machine. I’ve made the vanilla base from the recipe book several times and it works. Just always use high quality eggs and cream.Β

Awesome Simac. My zia had one when I was a kid . Brilliant machine. Get it looked at by a pro and have it regassed to make sure it runs flawlessly.

  5. Yeah, thats my machine and its been passed on through the family over 40 years. Getting replacement parts is getting tricky, but its really sturdy.

Important thing: you can run the compressor Β without running the paddle, but do not do that for a longer time, because the heat exchanger is only ventilated when the paddle turns. It will overheat otherwise.
