Could have also named it Singaporean chicken rice, since that's what I was trying to emulate. Basically the same dish as Hainan chicken anyway!

    People get so judgy whenever Hainanese chicken is posted. Just because the chicken isn’t smothered in sauce doesn’t mean it’s flavorless or totally plain. Looks great, OP

    Yeah I eat this almost on a daily basis. Far from being bland food. Infact at some places things get too greasy and flavourful
