caramel sauce. Homemade caramel sauce. Caramel sauce is really what I call it. I’m from the Midwest. Who cares how you say it, cuz this is how you make it. You need two cups of sugar, a half a cup of water, and just turn your heat to a medium high, and bring it to a boil. Once it begins to boil, add your candy thermometer. And when it does reach 350ยฐ, go ahead and turn off the heat. Carefully whisk in 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter. And see, you’ll notice when all that butter is mixed in, now you’re going to slowly whisk in one cup of heavy whipping cream. And the trick is to have all your ingredients at room temperature so that nothing seizes up. I’m going to add a pinch of salt, about an eighth or about a four a teaspoon or so. Then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Now, if you swapped out the sugars for a brown sugar, you can make yourself some butterscotch sauce. But now that all that’s mixed in and whisked up and everything is all combined, go ahead and let it cool for about 10 minutes. And then you’re going to strain it through a mesh strainer just to make it smoother. Now, just let it cool completely before you do stick it in the refrigerator. And it normally will last as long as your cream is good. And after it cools and then chilled in the fridge, this is how it looks. Watch. Look how thick and creamy. I love this in my coffee. Ryan loves it on his ice cream. But just like that, you’ve got homemade

  1. You are the COOLEST chef! I love seeing your videos. Iโ€™m still gathering some ingredients here and there to try out those recipes. The candy pineapples caught my attention. I canโ€™t find the โ€œwhiteโ€ food dye. But decided, Iโ€™m gonna leave it โ€œClearโ€ because Iโ€™m adding COCONUT EXTRACT to the candy coating with sprinkled coconut flakes. I used to make candy apples with coconut flakes (old school style, they loved it!). So I figured, what goes well with pineapples? COCONUT, making Hawaiian versionโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‹. I have yet to get started, just finished getting the feast of my ingredients together. Iโ€™ll let you know how it turns out!
