Food Accademia Founder Fabrizio Canal said: “We don’t do anything else. Travel retail is our world. We’ve developed a business model tailored to its unique dynamics – from packaging and logistics to storytelling and brand positioning – all designed to offer passengers an experience that is both appealing and full of flavour.
“Our partners trust us because we deliver tailored solutions and distinctive products that elevate the customer experience in airport retail, cruise ships, lounges and border shops.”
At this year’s Cannes event, the company will underscore its continued expansion, featuring a portfolio that now spans more than 40 premium Italian brands.
Food Accademia will showcase its portfolio in a refreshed exhibition space, designed to reflect its refined brand identity and embody the company’s core values of Italian excellence, aesthetics and authenticity, the company noted.
The Cannes showcase includes:

Alajmo – Food Accademia will introduce its exclusive collaboration with Alajmo, the Italian restaurant group behind multiple Michelin stars. For the first time, a branded line developed by a three-Michelin-starred chef – including condiments, sauces and gourmet pantry items – will be available in travel retail.
Ceci – Ceci’s Otello Nr. 5 comes from one of Emilia’s most renowned wineries and brings a lighter, contemporary twist to the classic Otello 1893. With its lower alcohol content (10% vol), it delivers the same elegance and character in a lighter, balanced style.

‘Nr.5’ signifies the wine’s distinctive traits – five bars of liveliness, the Ceci family’s shared passion and the fifth edition of an ever-evolving Lambrusco.
Otello Nr. 5 captures the essence of Italian Lambrusco with refined bubbles, deep colour and balanced flavour, providing travellers with a high-quality, versatile option. Its stylish packaging enhances its appeal on the travel retail shelf.

Le Vie del Tartufo – A young Italian brand delivering premium truffle products in sleek, travel-ready packs, Le Vie del Tartufo will showcase its Italian Truffle Treasures in Smart Packs.
Developed with Food Accademia, the brand’s exclusive 3-pack of truffle-infused cashews, peanuts and hazelnuts, blends indulgence, practicality and shelf appeal, and has already been shortlisted for the TRBusiness Travel Retail Awards.
For travellers seeking premium gifts, the brand will present a box containing a jar of pure truffles and a complimentary mini spoon. With customisable packaging, the product can feature names and city images, allowing operators flexibility to align it with specific travel locations worldwide.

Villa Sandi – Food Accademia is presenting a travel retail-exclusive product from Villa Sandi, widely regarded as the ‘queen of sparkling wine’ from the Valdobbiadene hills. The Il Nero Limited Edition Snow Polo comes in a specially designed gift box featuring the Asolo DOCG Extra Brut ‘Il Nero’ – Snow Polo Limited Edition.

Domori – Italian chocolatier Domori presents Gianduiotto in travel retail, blending its prized Piedmont IGP hazelnuts with fine cocoa to deliver authentic Piedmontese chocolate craftsmanship. With sleek, distinctive packaging, Domori chocolates are ready for gifting in travel retail.

Il Borgo del Balsamic – A historic, family-owned producer from Emilia-Romagna, Il Borgo del Balsamico has been producing artisanal balsamic vinegar for generations. Their process of slow ageing in wooden barrels ensures its vinegar is infused with care, tradition and passion.

Il Bordo del Balsamico is distinguished not just for its quality, but for its vibrant packaging, with each label reflecting a different style and use. The brand combines authenticity with modern design, making Il Borgo del Balsamico a standout for gourmet travellers.

Molinari – Food Accademia is set to reveal two Italian spirit classics, including Molinari Sambuca Extra, a smooth, aromatic anise liqueur enjoyed neat, on ice or with coffee beans for the traditional ‘con la mosca’.
Limoncello DiCapri is another signature spirit crafted from IGP-certified Sorrento lemons, delivering a natural, bright and authentic flavour that reflects the character of southern Italy. ✈
