Easy Potluck Side Dish!

Danny N shows us how to make an amazing side dish using, bacon, brussel sprouts, asparagus spears, peeled garlic, red onions, butter hungry jack syrup, feta cheese and the blend seasoning.

Three whole packages of thick cut bacon right inside my potluck tin. On top of these beautiful things of bacon, I’m taking some halves brussel sprouts and I’m just going to make sure the whole dish just has those sprouts throughout it. And look at how beautiful this is looking. This recipe is always a crowdleaser. I have some asparagus spears. You can chop these up, but holy moly, look at how thick that is. Let me know if you’ve ever seen a thick as that asparagus. That’s crazy. And I’m just going to make sure that I place this throughout the whole entire dish evenly. That way, each bite gets a little bit of asparagus. And all these flavors are going to combine really nicely together along with some peeled garlic. I love using this already peeled garlic. It did come in a piece of plastic. I just put it in the bag cuz I didn’t want to waste a bowl. And I’m just going to spread this throughout the whole bit. And you can leave these whole garlic cloves in there. They are just going to seep inside. This one’s optional, but I definitely recommend it. It’s just some red onions. I’m just going to put a little bit. And this is just going to add that crisp flavor and texture in there. Look how beautiful that looks. Now for my favorite part, some maple syrup. And this is a butter syrup. And I’m just going to start pouring that all on top of that bacon. We have that garlic. the asparagus. We have those sprouts, the onions, and the three packs of bacon. This is just a side dish that that deserves to be at every potluck. And you have fresh veggies in it. So, people that don’t like bacon, they can just eat the the veggies. Tell you that. Look at that. Oh, and I’m going to use about half of this Hungry Jack container. And now to top it all off, you guys can probably disagree with me here. I’ll be okay with it. Some feta cheese. But the feta cheese is just going to add that nice savoriness to all of these sweet flavors and a nice little saltiness to it. Oh, look at that. Another optional ingredient, but I always have to add it. This is called the blend. It has salt, pepper, and a little bit of garlic. And I’m just going to make sure we get that throughout the whole dish. Perfectly seasoned just like so. And this is ready. Now, I have my oven set to 375 and that’s going to cook in there for probably about 25 minutes. Make sure that bacon’s nice and cooked. Oh my goodness. Look at how beautiful that looks. Doesn’t that look absolutely fantastic? Look at that bacon. Now, the cool thing about this is, first of all, it did take a long time to cook. It wasn’t in there for 25 minutes. It was in there for about an hour. But I’ll tell you what, that bacon, it doesn’t look cooked, but it is cooked. Let me show you real fast. Look at this. Yeah, it is absolutely delicious. I’m so ready to give this a try. I can’t wait. And I’m just going to cut right in. Let me show you this. Look at You can easily tell that it’s cooked. See that? It wouldn’t have broke apart so much if it wasn’t cooked. Okay, so give this a try. Oh, that’s perfect. Make sure you blow it. It’s going to be super hot. Enjoy. Oh, falling apart. Oh, it just falls apart. Wow. Oh, it’s sweet. It’s salty. You’re going to love this. Let’s go.

My God the Bacon wasn't even Cooked!!!… Can someone say salmonella poisoning/Tapeworms… I have nothing against Danny or Justine, BUT the BOTH of them have alot more to Learn about Cooking

  2. It's like he's makes up dishes to cook, and post them on YouTube. Please take a cooking class!! You're too likeable to be this careless, and inexperienced to have a cooking channel, which is why you don't have many subscribers.

  3. "When slices of bacon are too close together, they release moisture and steam, which effectively boils the bacon instead frying it. This prevents the fat from rendering properly and leaves the strips soggy."
