Seems I don't have to use as much, I have good heat for a longer time period, and all the coals burn completely.

    I have been using this exclusively for the last month/month and a half and I love it

    Way less ash than Kingsford as well.

    Love this stuff and I use it a lot but when Kingsford goes on sale at Costco, I stock up.

    First time I used this I tried to light it with no chimney, bad idea

    I use Viva Pancho myself. I’m not a big fan of the compressed blocks I like the chunks.

    Been using this for years for my low n slow cooks. I still use Kingsford for hot & fast, or to get the B&B started. The B&B is pretty slow to get going. Kingsford seems to light up and fully ash over quicker. So I use a combination of both most of the time.

    Last time I did a B&B snake for pork spare ribs, I made the snake go about 3/4 of the way around my kettle grill. It ran for about 6 hours at 250F, and at the end I had only used half the snake. Using a slow n sear for a pork butt cook, I can just load it up with B&B and get a good 10 hours at around 250F. The snake might go closer to 12 hours, but I like the grate setup better with the Slow n Sear for a pork butt.

    I save my Kingsford exclusively for when the in-laws come over.

    B&B and Fogo have been my go yo for years

    If you can find their “post oak” briquettes that’s even better. However I haven’t been able to and use this now. Flavor is there however it seems to burn slightly faster

    Go with lump charcoal, you will be glad you did…..

    Kingsford Blue additives;
    Borax, mineral char, and limestone…

    B&B additives;
    Vegetable starch as a binder, that’s it.

    Beginning? They’re not even in the same stratosphere quality wise. Kingsford sucks.

    Absolutely, it’s my go to for a few years now!!!

    Just tried this last night to grill some chicken breast and hotdogs. It didn’t get as hot and burned slower than kingsford. Smells good, tastes good, and seems like it’ll do better low and slow. I’m definitely gonna keep it in rotation, depending on what and how I’m cooking.

    B&B from Academy Sports and Cowboy from Wally World are my favorites.

    I definitely prefer this over kingsford

    This stuff is pretty horny. Their lump is good. Burns hot as piss on a turnbuckle

    Made the switch to B and B from blue bag a few years ago. Works great in the kettle slow n sear basket.

    B&B is one of the best affordable charcoal brands.

    I love their char logs, briquettes, lump and they’re very reasonable on the pricing.

    If you’re in north Texas, their wood chips and logs are on sale at Albertsons and Tom Thumb. The chips cost $2 per bag and bags of post oak cost $11-12.

    Nothing added, smells and burns so cleanly.
