The restaurant will open on Sept. 19 at The Crescent
Avra Estiatorio, the acclaimed Mediterranean dining destination, will soon open its doors in Dallas. The launch coincides with Avra’s 25th anniversary, celebrating a quarter-century of delivering authentic Greek cuisine, fresh seafood and an elevated dining experience.
Located at 300 Crescent Ct #120 in Uptown Dallas at The Crescent, the restaurant joins a prestigious mix of upscale dining and retail in the heart of the city.
“We’re proud to bring an exceptional dining experience to the heart of Dallas, where a stunning ambiance meets outstanding Greek cuisine,” Avra Estiatorio Co-Owner and Co-Founder Nick Tsoulos said. “We believe our concept fills a gap in Dallas’ dining scene, and The Crescent was an easy choice given its commitment to excellence in every detail.”
The Cuisine
Avra’s menu highlights fresh seafood flown in from around the world, prime meats and traditional Greek recipes handed down through Tsoulos’ family. Signature offerings include Avra Chips — thinly sliced, crispy zucchini and eggplant — whole grilled Branzino, lamb chops, grilled octopus, greek salad and traditional dips.

Guests can also explore a hands-on seafood experience, selecting in-season catches from an ice display. Options range from branzino from Southern Spain to rare Mediterranean varieties like fagri, known as the “king of the Aegean,” and Lithrini, a delicate pink bream. Seafood can be grilled over charcoal, baked in salt or served raw as carpaccio or ceviche, all enhanced with Avra’s signature Ladolemono sauce.
“Our network of fishermen in Southern Europe brings us the best seafood they can get their hands on — most of it wild-caught and flown into us throughout the week.” Tsoulos explains. Lamb is sourced from Colorado and beef from small U.S. ranches, keeping the focus on quality and sustainability.
Wines And Spirits
The restaurant features an extensive wine program that includes acclaimed Greek producers alongside selections from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Tuscany and Napa. Spirits offerings span hundreds of varieties, including bourbons, gins, tequilas and rums.
Creative, handcrafted cocktails add to the experience, with highlights such as the Helios heat, the Santorini and the Mykonos breeze, each featuring unique flavor combinations that complement the Mediterranean menu.
Design And Ambiance
Designed by the renowned Rockwell Group, Avra Estiatorio Dallas spans 14,000 square feet and seats 350 guests. The space blends contemporary elegance with traditional Greek elements, featuring natural stone, 300-year-old planters from Greece, linen accents and lush greenery.
Two patios and multiple private dining areas — including The Conservatory, a glass café filled with plants — offer flexible options for intimate dinners, casual gatherings or large celebrations. The centerpiece bar serves as a lively social hub for cocktails and conversation.
