If you’ve ever dreamed of twirling your own handmade pasta like a true Italian nonna, Italian Kitchen is giving guests the chance to carb-load on knowledge and noodles with its new Pasta Making Experiences.

Launching September 20 and offered Saturdays from 2 to 5 p.m., the workshops invite groups of six to get hands-on with dough before indulging in a private dining experience. Guests can pick between the basic or corporate formats, each including up to two hours of instruction, a glass of Mionetto Prosecco (or a zero-proof option), wine with dinner, and some serious swag: an Italian Kitchen apron and a pasta cutter wheel to take home.

The menu of learning is rich: potato gnocchi, ravioli du dauphine, and your choice of fettuccine or spaghetti, all culminating in a dramatic Pasta Tower served with a trio of sauces: pesto, pomodoro, and cacio e pepe. Think of it as a hands-on primer in starchitecture.

I had a sneak peek at the workshop, and despite never having rolled out fresh pasta in my life, chef Matteo Fontana made it foolproof. His clear instructions were paired with warm stories of his nonna in Italy, who first taught him the craft and shared the tools of the trade that now find their way into his teaching. That personal touch, combined with his helpful, approachable nature, transformed the session from cooking class to cultural immersion.

Adding to the charm, the lessons take place right next to the pasta-making station used for service in the restaurant, so you’re not just learning the ropes; you’re elbow-deep in the real kitchen energy. It’s equal parts dinner party, culinary school, and foodie dream-come-true.

For those hungry to try something new, Italian Kitchen’s pasta experiences promise to make life that much saucier.
