Located next to The Pudding Stop, the highly anticipated eatery had first revealed its plans on social media in January and initially aimed for an August launch.

Although the opening was delayed, eager diners were finally welcomed this evening on a first come, first served basis, with table bookings opened a few days later.

Specialising in Aegean cuisine, Vourla promised a menu filled with fresh and contemporary Mediterranean dishes.

At the time, a spokesman for the restaurant said: “We’re focused on bringing a fresh and contemporary dining experience to the area, featuring a variety of delicious starters, seafood and steaks inspired by the vibrant flavours and ingredients of the Mediterranean region.”
