[Music] [Music] If you serve this platter of bread in a party, everybody will get mad. Zatar bread is soft, fluffy flatbread topped with a fragrant blend of herbs, spices, sesame seeds, and olive oil. Warm, aromatic, and perfect for sharing. It’s a Middle Eastern favorite that turns simple ingredients into pure comfort. Hi everyone. That means how are you in Farsy? Glad to see you back in Let’s Cook with Rosina. [Music] Come closer. Today we are going to make something special together. Warm and fluffy Zakar bread. I mean, Rosina’s homemade zakar bread is on the menu today. [Music] And good news is zar bread can be baked in the oven or in a pan on the stove top. I have already shared different bread recipes in my channel and today I’m going to make zatar bread. Zatar is not just a single dried herb or spice. And the opposite, it’s a blend of aromatic spices and dried herbs with so many uses. You can sprinkle it over rice, salad, roasted vegetables, grilled chicken, fish, and even blend it with yogurt for a quick dip. After making zatar mixture, you can store it in a sealed jar away from direct light. In this case, it will last beautifully up to 6 months. It’s a packed with the aroma of herbs and the spices full of flavor and every bite is a new experience. This is a kind of bread that fills your home with the most irresistible smell. And trust me, by the end, you will want this smell in your kitchen, too. Are you ready? Let’s begin. [Music] Flour in the bowl, salt in. And give a stir into some warm water. A little yeast and just a touch of sugar or honey. Stir. And we wait just a few minutes and watch the surface comes alive for me and it’s telling us it’s ready. Now add virgin olive oil and activated yeast to the flour. Hands or mixer. It doesn’t matter. We need eight maybe 10 minutes until it turns into a smooth elastic dough. Almost breathing in your hands. You will feel it when it’s right. Grease. Cover and let it rest until it doubles in size. Meanwhile, we make something magical for the topping. While the dough rests, let’s make our zata mixture. First, roast the sesame seeds on low heat for one or 2 minutes, just until their aroma is released. Then, let them cool. Dried thyme and oregano into the grinder. Perfect. M. The aroma already fills the air. Okay, now the toasted sesame seeds, sumac, cumin, a little salt, and those dried herbs, and of course, golden olive oil to bring it all together. And the result, a heavenly paste. Back to our dough. Wow. Do you see how it’s doubled in size and how soft and pillowy it is? A gentle press to release the air. And then a fold, a flip just to remind it who is the boss. onto the flowered surface. Roll it into a log. Want big breads? Cut the dough into two or three pieces. But I’m going smaller today, so I cut it into five or six pieces. [Music] on the flowered surface. Rolling pin down. Flattened each piece thin just like this. Grease your thin dough in. Then use a fork to make a few holes in the flattened dough. And now it’s the best part. Spoonfuls of zatar mixture spread across the top. And the smell absolutely irresistible. Repeat with the rest of the dough. [Music] You can bake these in the oven or cook them in a pan. Just flatten the dough thin. Grease your pan if you like and do in. Make a few holes in the dough just like before and spread the zata mixture across the top. As you see, all the dough is ready to be baked. Preheat the oven to 180°. Place the tins inside on the middle rack for just 8 to 10 minutes. Or if you’re doing the pan version, medium heat, usually 8 10 minutes depending on the thickness of your dough. And covering the pan with a lid can help the inside cook evenly without drying out. Either way, it’s truly delicious and you’re going to love it. And there is Zat bread. Warm, very soft, fluffy, hair pack, and perfect for sharing. Don’t worry about measurements. They are written in the description box below. You can enjoy zatar bread as it is or serve it alongside yogurt, shoes or soup. And look at this. They are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. If you serve this platter of bread in a party, everybody will get mad. And here is promise once you make this bread and you will never want storebought bread again. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] So why not make it today? Try it once. Until next one, take care and lots of love. Here is [Music] [Applause] [Music]
