This is the first pull of finished version, so don't judge the espresso too harshly.

Landed on using a top mounted Bianca-style paddle for controlling the flow.

Plastic parts printed in heat resistant ABS.

The pump is a Fluid-O-Tech FG304.

I see that you also have a GCP. Is the gear pump too large for GCP?

Damn, even with added flow control, that appears to need a finer grind.

    Also, 22 sec “pre-infusion”?

    Well done!
Been looking to buy a well used Silvia and experiment with something like this. Have you used a separate PSU or wired it with a transformer? I’m Curious about the wiring and electronics you used.

  4. Sick! Adding another to the list for an “Ultimate mod” machine.

  5. Nice! Switched over to lever machines myself but yeah, a quiet machine is a happy machine! Have you documented your build somewhere?

Dumb side question: where’d you get that scale?

  7. That looks amazing! Would love to see a breakdown of cost and how to video once you think you’ve got a perfected!

I wonder if I could install something like this on a gaggia OWC?
