
Chocolate cake isn’t usually my go to, but it is my partner’s favorite so I promised him I'll make something "Super Chocolaty"
The sponge is a mix of black cocoa and regular Dutch-process cocoa with sour cream and hot coffee.
The filling was a happy little accident—I had some leftover condensed milk caramel, so I melted it with dark chocolate and double cream to make this super fudgey filling
For the crumb coat and cake dam?, I used up some milk chocolate ganache I already had on hand (waste not, want not).
Then I finished the whole thing off with my go-to fudge buttercream
And Norman the frog of course!
