Pre seasoned though and natural. I’d check out costco if you shop there.

Just a heads up, I used to work in food safety and pre-seasoned meat was usually the meat that had the highest bacteria counts. Marinades are sometimes utilized to cover up old or off meat. It is one thing I will never buy after working there.

Damn! Roughly the same size is going for around $25 at Costco in Phoenix

  4. Holy shit, I’m in England and just today I bought a similar sized rack of lamb, Welsh lamb, the highest quality you can get ~£10 or. $13.50.

Not pre seasoned or anything though.

Edit actually it was 1/2 to 2/3rd the size of this after I’ve zoomed in, 650g or 1.4lb even still

  5. HEB is all bluff. That price is insane. Aldi has lamb from $5 to $12 a lb.

its like that in every store in my part of Canada. I miss lamb

Use to be cheaper to stay home and cook. Should just go out to eat. Fuck trump

Madness. But lamb can get expensive… just not usually near this high.

There’s always lamb breast, but that’s mostly bone and fat and a few decades ago was given away for free in parts of Britain. It’s usually at least $5/lb at Aldi or Walmart here in Florida. Maybe it’s even more now.

At least this Lamb will make you full..instead of dropping passes from Dak Prescott. ( Both overpriced imo).

I’m sure that part of this is priced higher because people will pay more for organically raised meat. Some might also pay more for meat from America. There might be some tarrif-related pricing here but I think lamb racks have always been pretty expensive.

Wow, here in Canada we’re paying $14.99/kg…

Do they have Costco in Texas? I hate going to Costco in NYC, but the price on lamb is amazing. I go twice a year, and stock up.

Jaysus! I got a rack at Sam’s Club in GA the other day for $23. They had a $5 off marked price sale.

  14. choombatta

American lamb is always way more expensive than import. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  15. ItSmellsLikeCowsHere

You can buy a lamb off a homestead for that price.

  16. Nowherefarmer

Looks like I’ll be going into the lamb business lol

  17. Love lamb rack, but damm, that price is up there..

  18. Wow. I raise lamb and this is insane.  I guess I need to wear a suit and tie whenever I eat lamb rack. What’s crazy is for 35lb of meat per lamb it cost me anywhere from 60$-100$ depending on hay cost. I can’t imagine spending that much on 2lbs of meat…

Value added pricing, aka stupid tax for it being, All Natural/organic, for Frenching and pre-seasoning.
    All that that aint free.
