Monte Cristo Sandwich #piphichef #oldscoolkevmo #pibetaphi #unr #reno #montecristo #brunch

So, for brunch at the sorority house this week, we’re doing Monte Cristos. It’s a classic diner breakfast sandwich. And we’re going to start by making some French toast. I got my eggs, a little bit of cream, vanilla, and I have my cinnamon. And I’m going to add in there a little bit of brown sugar. That’s how I like to make my French toast. I give that a nice stir. Just get it all mixed up. And we’re just about ready to make this sandwich. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and savory. I love this sandwich. So, here we go. We’re going to start with some turkey that goes down on the grill. Then I got some ham, too. That’s going to go down right next to it. And then, guys, we’re going to make our French toast. We’re doing thick cut Texas toast style French toast. So, we flip the turkey, flip the ham, and we’re going to throw some Swiss cheese down on both of those. Flip over those French toast. This all looks great. It’s time to build a sandwich. Bread goes down. And we start with this Dijes, guys. It’s just Dijon mustard and mayonnaise, but you got to have it. It’s a really perfect fit for this sandwich. We go down with the ham and cheese. Put the turkey and cheese right on top. Throw on the lid. We cut that thing in half. Now, I’m serving it with some fruit today. So, I fill up a little cup. And we also got to have that strawberry jam to dip that sandwich in. Another little cup that goes down on the plate. Little powdered sugar on that sandwich. And guys, look at that. And just get in there and enjoy. Like I said, this is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The Swiss cheese works really well on there. The Dijonese is delicious. I had to use a knife and fork. This is one of those messy sandwiches. I dip in that strawberry. It’s perfect, man. What a treat. Thanks for watching. Cheers, everyone.
