I mean, obviously do not leave the stove unattended, but this still looks like normal food. I‘d say you got to it in time. This would have been a fire hazard eventually.

I mean walking away works fine if you’re waiting for a boil or making tea. But something that cooks as fast as eggs do… you gotta watch it. Even pasta needs to be stirred every few minutes to prevent sticking to the bottom
