Looks delicious! What do you have in that decanter?

If you wrap it in tin foil it with veggies and small potatoes. It makes cooking so much easier, then pop it on the grill for a good crust. Couple minutes each side

  3. Interesting opening picture.

    “First tomahawk. Change my mind.”

  4. Where are you that you need a jacket? I’m in Florida and still sweating my balls off outside. I’m jealous

  5. It looks amazing. Like the grilled veggies too.

  6. That’s not maillard. That’s burnt. I mean centre looks good.

Nice job! I would eat and enjoy! If you want less char try a two zone cook with more time on indirect or a reverse sear. For a cut that thick I smoke for 45-60 min and get temp to 120ish then hard sear 1-2 min each side. Will get you medium rare with far less char next time. Good luck!

  9. Your ice cube is just a spare topper for the decanter

  10. This year. First attempt this year.
Your first attempt last year looked good too.

I need to do this. I need a grilling day to sit outside with the dog. I don’t drink or eat meat but I love to grill. I’m going to replace the Macallan with a nice cigar and cook a couple nice steaks for my wife and daughter. Thank you for the inspiration.

You murdered it. Also I’m jealous of your cold jacket weather.

  13. did you even cook with indirect heat? that shit looks like it was was cooked right over the coals the whole time lol

Tomahawk bone is as useless as gold leaf on a steak. . . Change My Mind!
