Homemade Labneh is only 2 ingredients and packed with protein.

Labneh is a thick, strained yogurt similar in texture to cream cheese, but a little tangier in flavor; use it for dips, spreads or anywhere you would use cream cheese, even in desserts!

Ingredients

– 2 cups full fat Greek yogurt (the higher the fat content, the richer the labneh but you can even use low fat yogurt)
– 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Mix together yogurt and salt then spoon into the center of a cheesecloth (fold or double line the cheesecloth)
Tie the ends of the cheesecloth over a wooden spoon; try to ensure it’s fairly tight as this will help the whey separate quicker
Place over a jug or large bowl, ensuring it does not touch the bottom
Place in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours or until the whey has separated and a smooth spread the texture of cream cheese or goat cheese remains
Transfer the labneh to a container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks

This is another overpriced cheese that you can make at home with two ingredients. We’re making lab. You need two cups of Greek yogurt and a teaspoon of salt. Mix them together. Lab is not technically a cheese, but it’s pretty close. It’s a thickened yogurt with a cream cheese-like texture. Put that on a cheesecloth. The higher the fat in the yogurt, the richer the spread. You can use low-fat yogurt, but it’s not as good. Grab the corners of your cheesecloth and tie it tightly around a wooden spoon. Place it over a bowl big enough that it’s not touching the bottom. Now, leave this in the fridge overnight. It’s tomorrow. You’ll see separated way in the bottom of the bowl. It’s rich, tangy, and really high in protein. Use it for dips with meat or veggies. Or you can just use this as a spread for a higher protein version of cream cheese.
