I’m a cryobiologist and stuff like this makes me cringe. Liquid nitrogen deserves respect

  2. Ill-Pudding2017

Worst part is, the parent payed money for that.

  3. ShadowBro3

Is the child okay? The moment he looks to be in discomfort, the cameraman decided to have a stroke and record random shit in the background.

  4. Copernicus049

Hopefully he only has swelling of the tissue that touched the liquid nitrogen. He potentially could have frostbite , blistering, scarring, or skin lesions. The vapor could asphyxiate the kid as well. The vendor deserves jail time for even attempting to serve this drink like this.

Is it liquid nitrogen or dry ice? It seemed like maybe he had a piece of it on his tongue or something

  6. Greaterdivinity

    it’s not liquid nitrogen

it’s a drink with a large cube of dry ice in it, you can see the cube on the kids tongue. not inherently as dangerous but still extremely dangerous, and whatever adults are involved are ludicrously irresponsible.

  7. Little bro does NOT look happy post “drink”. Concerning.

What in the hell is going on with people! Dry ice isn’t to be consumed. Frost bite beverage for sale! Frost bite beverages! 🤬

Am I looking at something? Who’s pointing the camera?

This is a video of a child being injured. I wish it weren’t here.

why tf would you do this. but WHY would you give it to a child?!

  13. insigniaofpeace

Tha child cries “daddy” in pain and a woman in bg tells the man “Something happened to him, he directly ate it”

  14. A_very_smol_Lugia

Jesus Christ everyone here except the child is a moron

  15. One-Training-6443

Please answer me if the child is ok for the love of God….

When I was a kid I’d scoff at rpg games like “What is frost damage? Are you going to shiver me to death” then I learned what cold can actually do.

  17. usernamesarehard1979

Looked like dry ice was stuck to his tongue

The kid is apparently okay. Here’s a link to an article that has a longer video in it:
    [https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/what-are-smoke-biscuits-that-karnataka-boy-ate-and-fell-sick-5541176](https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/what-are-smoke-biscuits-that-karnataka-boy-ate-and-fell-sick-5541176)

And an article saying the kid is alive:
    [https://www.indiatoday.in/fact-check/story/fact-check-this-boy-did-not-die-after-consuming-dry-ice-heres-what-happened-2530855-2024-04-23](https://www.indiatoday.in/fact-check/story/fact-check-this-boy-did-not-die-after-consuming-dry-ice-heres-what-happened-2530855-2024-04-23)

ETA: I haven’t seen anywhere that definitively confirms he’s alive and well, but from what I saw, more sites confirm that than say that he died. The latter are primarily on Facebook/Instagram.

  19. katiel0429

How does NO ONE there realize this is super dangerous?! What was the vendor thinking?!??.

  20. NastyStarFish

All I know is that Liquid Nitrogen was used to freeze the Terminator…

  21. Acceptable_Way_8361

N₂ products are often marketed under the names “Dragon’s Breath,” “Heaven’s Breath,” “nitro puff” and other similar names. Liquid nitrogen, although non-toxic, can cause severe damage to skin and internal organs if mishandled or accidentally ingested due to the extremely low temperatures it can maintain.

  22. enerthoughts

I would make sure the vendor swallow the whole damn thing before I rush to the hospital, what kind of idiot licensed that as edible food.

  23. LionBig1760

That’s not liquid nitrogen. Looks like some liquid was poured over dry ice.

  24. That is attempted (or successful idk how it ends but hopefully not) murder
