In the community garden the hares are getting progressively aggressive about breaking theur way to people's carrots. I had a couple fall victim to them too, so started pulling them in earnest. It's a shame because even if size is good, the taste is still not quite there yet. Next year, improved fence.

(Variety is "Rodelika". I chose it for goid shelf life and because it should do comparatively well in heavy soil. Mine is heavy clay soil I'm trying to improve, but I always amend the spot where I spe carrots heavily. Hoping that one day my soil has improved to the point where I don't need to do that and can just sow mu carrots anywhere without adding anything.)
