Just a heads up if someone is looking I saw the 25qt All American canner at Costco (Issaquah) this morning.

Seems like a good price.

I think that model is $647 in Canada. Or maybe it was the 941

  3. How in the world is it so much. I got mine nearly 20 years ago for less than a hundred.

I bought the same one for around that piece, a factory second, a few months ago. It’s a good price I’d say.

Three models available online, 25qt, 30qt, and 41.5qt. Still haven’t opened my Presto so I’m not allowed to buy one lol

I’ve never pressure canned before but have been looking extensively at estate sales and Goodwill to find a quality piece to last me my lifetime. I wasn’t necessarily looking for cheap, but something that’s high quality. I’ve heard the hype of All American, so I literally GASPED and ran over to clutch it when I saw it at Costco for that price – $150 cheaper than directly from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, at the time, I didn’t have $380 extra dollars budgeted, but I went back 2 weeks later and grabbed one of the last 5 in store because I knew it was a well-worthy investment and a solid discount.
Today I’m giving it a try for the first time with chilies!
