Let’s make turkey clubs here at the Young’s house. I am so excited to show you all how I make Genie Young style turkey clubs. This turkey club tastes so good and it’s so simple to make. Here’s what you’re going to need. You’re going to need your favorite cheese, but I’m using yellow American cheese. You’re going to need some good turkey, nice thinly sliced turkey. And so that’s what I have here. It’s oven roasted. We’re going to be making up some bacon. So I have some bacon here and I got potato bread. Make sure you invest in some nice good bread. We’re going to grill this bread, okay? Or toast it. You need some papuccinis or pickles. You’re also going to need your favorite mayonnaise, a nice, beautiful tomato, and some lettuce. Make sure your hands are clean. Let’s make turkey clubs here at the Young. Hope you all are having a great day today. And if you’re not, hopefully I can brighten up your day with this hair recipe. This is how Genie Young makes them. The first thing we’re going to do is let’s slice some tomatoes and then we’re going to salt and pepper them to give them some good flavors. When you’re making a sub sandwich or any type of sandwich that has tomato on it, don’t make your tomatoes too thick. You don’t want them too thin, but you don’t want them too thick either, right? So, let’s go ahead roundabout slices like this. salt and pepper them and they taste a hund times better. Just like this. Nice fresh. Go ahead and salt and pepper our tomatoes to give them some great flavor here. And then we’re going to get started on our bacon. Even though that I’m using a precooked bacon, I’m still going to put it in the frying pan and get it nice and crispy. Me personally, I feel like when you put it in the microwave, it doesn’t taste like it’s supposed to. But if you take microwave bacon, throw it into a frying pan. Oh yes. That’s what you want. bacon into the frying pan. Get it nice and crispy. I’m putting on a lot. When I’m making a turkey club, I think of piling the bacon on, as you should, too. Pile the turkey on as well. Go ahead and cut some lettuce. I’m using iceberg lettuce. Making up a good sandwich. You want that nice, fresh, clean, crispy crunch. It’s always going to be the iceberg lettuce or romaine. But for this sandwich, we’re using iceberg. So, let’s go ahead and cut it this way. Beautiful. It smells fresh. It sounds great. That’s what we’re using. It’s doing exactly what we wanted to do. It smells so good. Oh my goodness. Melt this in butter because we’re going to butter our toast. I’m going to get this into the toaster. And I don’t want it too dark. I just want it lightly toasted. Now, when it comes to using pickles, if you don’t like pickles, that’s just fine. You can always use a lovely peppercini. I’m using peppercinis today. And what I like to do with my sandwich, I’ll bite the peppercini, sprinkle the juice all over my sandwich, and then bite the sandwich. That’s the way I like to do it. My toast is lovely. Let’s go ahead and butter it. Never butter your toast with cold butter. You must melt the butter first, if you didn’t know. Melt the butter first and then you butter your toast and you’ll have magnificent toast every time. Okay. I tell some people that and they’re like, “Oh, really?” Yes. Because if you take cold butter and you put it on to toast, it just makes your toast mushy, right? We don’t want that. So, melt the butter and then you toast, you know, do it this way. Some of the best toast you’ve ever had. Make a turkey club. I’m going to go right in with the lettuce first. Yes. And we’re going to pile on your favorite turkey. This is a oven roasted turkey. There are times that I like to use a honey roasted turkey. Spectacular. Don’t be afraid to put the ingredients on this sandwich. It’s supposed to be like this, right? Absolutely it is. I mean, if you’re making it Gina Young style, it’s going to be like that. Even though we buttered our toast, we’re putting mayonnaise on there. Absolutely we are. But here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to put it onto my turkey. Oh yes, you can’t have a sandwich without it. Okay, so here’s how we’re going to do this. The tomatoes go in the middle of your sandwich. I wouldn’t care. Even if you was making a bologn sandwich, don’t ever put the tomato where the bread is like right here because you get salty. You know, you’ll turn your bread soggy. You put it in the middle of the sandwich and then your sandwich will be the boss, right? Oh, and it costs to pay to be the boss. And yes, it does. Look at this. Watch how I pal on this bacon. Listen, and for you that don’t eat pork, no worries. You can make turkey bacon. Yes, you can. Or you can completely leave it out of the recipe. Pow the bacon on. There we go. Mind you, I salt and peppered that tomato to give it great flavor. I just want to remind you. And now the cheese goes on top. Instead of putting it here, we’ll just put it right here. Two slices.
