I’m shocked that there’s no market for 10$ donuts.
It’s hilarious that some people think this had anything to do with quality.

Hats off to Ashley and her team for an incredible run. I’m sad to see them go for nostalgic reasons (we served Glory Hole donuts in lieu of wedding cake when I got married many, many years ago), but all good things must come to an end.

I maintain that Glory Hole used to be an amazing donut shop, maybe 10 years ago, but somewhere along the line the quality declined and they became very mediocre and not even close to being worth it.
Sometimes it seems that classic smallish places with a fan following expand and the quality tanks and then they close. Rocket science?

When they opened in the annex I tried to go multiple times and every time I would go they would be sold out. Which is fine if that’s your business model but they were still open?

I dunno man, one part of me thinks it’s just we have so many nice options for donuts in Toronto between dipped, Harry’s heels, better days, mochi donuts, unholy donuts. On the other hand I don’t think that donut shops last long term. Even Krispy Kreme shutdown entirely and returned only after a decade.
It’s almost like donuts are trendy and once you’re old news it doesn’t matter about quality

We had a donut bar at our wedding filled with their donuts. Will always have a special place in my heart.

Can we please stop hearing about this terrible business? If only their donuts price/quality ratio lived up to the publicity they receive.
Incredibly overrated and underserved publicity/attention they receive
