Swung by KG BBQ on Manor and Airport at Oddwood Ales for lunch. The above photo is their brisket rice bowl, loaded with lightly candied almonds and cashews, cucumber, pomegranate seeds. Went at about 1:30 on a Friday and took about 5 minutes to order (only because a party of 4 ordering right before me) and by the time I could wash my hands and get a pint from Oddwood my order ready buzzer was going off.
Food is truly something to experience, its a wide range of flavors and combination you're not going to find easily. The brisket was a bit more grill-forward that what I usually prefer (not sure if its part of the cuisine or just the day of cookin'), perfect bite of the mediterranean yellow rice, pom seed, and brisket (very tender chopped steak) is something to behold. The above had a $20 or so pricetag after tipping and recommended on that, its a hearty heart amount of food and so unique, we're lucky to have something like this around.

One of the best menu items I’ve had anywhere in town. Something truly special.
Also their staff is v friendly and they have some swag now which is neat, including a shirt that says ‘howdy’ in Egyptian and one that says howdy in English with an eye of Ra behind it lol. The fact they share a space with the best place to get tavern style pizzas in town is a cherry on top.
i love this place. i love their lamb chops too but id get it more often if it wasnt so expensive. i think its $8 each.
Top 20 dishes in Austin, change my mind.
Bangs every time
It’s really so good
I’ll be there tomorrow drinking some beer and hopefully snagging a bowl
The best
I can’t believe I still haven’t tried this!!!
