The Wood Oven in Wylam (Image: Tripadvisor) “Stopped in for pizza after 17 miles of walking along Hadrian’s Wall,” a review said. “The atmosphere is laid back and inviting. Good selection of drinks and pizzas. Granted I was famished, but this is some of the best pizza I’ve had. Crust was perfectly cooked, red sauce balanced with the toppings. I usually add red pepper flakes to my pizza, but the flavor profile needed no adjustments. Highly recommend stopping in if you happen to be in Wylam.”
