Do you know how much 2lbs of almonds costs these days?!?

    These are fascinating, gotta say.

Those cookies seem to want to be merengues while using the whole egg. (Yes?) Wow!

And onion gravy over navy beans? Why not!

OoooooooOoooohhh, this is a real treasure! Lucky! 🍀

Thank you for sharing!! I’ve saved a bunch of these. Would you mind sharing the pirozhky dough recipe, pretty please?

You can also find this on eBay too! For those who are trying to get all the recipes. That’s where I got mine and I love it. Great find! Have you already figured out which recipes you’re going to start with lol

Right out of the gate- butterscotch sauce sounds amazing.

    Homemade yeast, wow!

Rivels soup as a supper? No protein, how could that energize hard work folks?

The air-drying of the anise cookies is different. I’ve never seen that before. Then baked in a slow oven. Why the air drying? Interesting

This is a long shot, but any chance there’s a yeast ring donut recipe in there? The best donuts I’ve ever had came from Mennonite food stalls at the county fair, and I’d love to know what they’re doing to make them so good!
