My husband was getting cranky with the amount of smokers and grills that I had, especially since they take up so much space for winter storage.
And I think I deserved a new toy, so I sold all my old toys, freed up storage space, and bought myself a brand spanking new Searwood. Now we are both happy.
The Searwood wasnāt my first choice, but apparently the Woodwind Pro is near impossible to find in Canada and it was way more than I wanted to spend.
I did my burn in yesterday, and today I have ribs on, and smoked beans, some sausages and bacon jalapeƱo poppers to go on a little later.

No offense but what kind of husband would be cranky about the amount of grills and smokers you have?
Looks nice, pellet made by Weber? Does it have any unique features that swayed you from your old smokers or traeger etc?
If you are real you are many husbands wet dream. Even remotely decent looking with this passion for bbq would beā¦ā¦.hard to believe. So tip of the cap to ye.
You did good. Love my Searwood XL
you have a beautiful backyard
Bummer about the Woodwind pro, I love love love my sg30. Almost no issues.
Hope the Weber works out great, they look like badass workhorses!
Sauv blanc and smoked ribs, youāre winning at life.
I love my Searwood too. Got the flat top and rotisserie for it, and sold everything except my webber kettle. The app is great, it’s just an all-around great grill. Enjoy!
This is going to get a very mixed reaction between the folks who wish they had 9 smokers, all which need to be constantly monitored for temp, and the folks who just want to āset it and forget itā and cook some nice smoky food š
Easier solution: Use them during the winter, too, so you don’t have to store them! š
You complain about your husband way too much.
No sell, only buy.
Sometimes a second smoker is a must
I too on one hand love the how stick burners separate the men from the but as I get older I find myself wanting to just set it and forget it. My wife does not want me to get a pellet smoker so I am trying to find something we can agree on. Something we can still use real wood to smoke but I can set the temp and just relax.
Alright you may be the person I need advice from. Long time stuck burner, but with our newborn my stick burning time is virtually non existent, so I’m looking at pellet smokers and I’m completely overwhelmed. What made you want the Woodpro? What should I be looking out for? My budget is around $1000-$1500, any help is greatly appreciated!
I’ve had mine for 4 months now and absolutely love it. I feel like the front table/shelf should be included, and I’d say it’s a much needed upgrade.
Iāve got the 600; love it! Congratulations!
Iāve been eyeing the searwood.
Donāt own a searwood but my father in law has one and I love it. Might have to add one next season instead of using gas.
I absolutely love my 600, itās completely replaced my propane grill and smoker
