Hi everyone! In this video, I’m making one of
the iconic dishes of Turkish cuisine – lahmacun. I’ll start by preparing the
meat mixture that goes on top. Here’s what you’ll need: 500 grams of ground beef, 2 onions, 2 cloves of
garlic, 2 green peppers, 3 red sweet peppers, 4 tomatoes, 5 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1
tablespoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and a
bunch of finely chopped parsley. The vegetables should be blended
in a food processor before mixing. Now, I’ll add everything into a
large bowl and mix it really well. For the base, I’m using ready-made
flatbread. But if you don’t have it, you can also make your own dough at home. Spread a thin layer of the meat
mixture evenly over the flatbread. Then bake it in a preheated oven at 220°C
(430°F) until the bottom of the bread is golden. With this recipe, I was able
to make 12 pieces of lahmacun. After baking, I stack them on top of
each other and cover with a cloth. This way, they stay soft and don’t dry out. When serving, you can add
fresh parsley or cilantro, tomato slices, and a squeeze of lemon
