This is the 3rd time I have attempted to make sushi; the 1st 2 did not turn out well. I'm not sure if this is considered good or not but at least I don't have to use a spoon to eat it.

Looks upside down to me

Way too big and way too much rice. Fish looks poorly cut for the nigiri

making nigiri with tuna steaks is not ideal because it’s too short. I’d try using a loin next time (or better yet a prepared block called a saku)

Not bad for a home cook. All the proportions of fish to rice are off but the choice in ingredients are okay.

Looks like too much rice to me. Depends how large you like your roles.

Where did you get the fish? Looks really depressed.

These look great!
If you want to hit more “ideal” proportions you could reduce the amount of rice you use a little bit, but it’s really a personal preference. If you enjoyed them and they didn’t fall apart as you ate then that’s a win!

Delicious!
