Hey everyone,
Had a bit of a weird idea and it turned out great, so I wanted to share. The toasty rice in the Genmaicha makes for an amazing, savory poaching liquid.
It's super simple: I put a couple of boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Then, in a separate bowl, I steeped about half a cup of One with Tea Organic Genmaicha with some sliced ginger and a couple of smashed garlic cloves in hot water for about 5 minutes. I strained that liquid over the chicken, added a splash of soy sauce, and let it go on low for about 2.5 hours.
The chicken comes out incredibly tender and shreds perfectly. It's amazing in salads, sandwiches, or just over rice with a bit of the broth drizzled on top!

Wow, I never would have thought to use tea like that. How did the chicken taste?
