[Music] Asalamaikum and hello everyone. Welcome to our video presentation. My name is Mama Ashraf. We are group five and today our group will show you how to make one of Malaysia most famous and delicious dishes which is nasi ayam also known as chicken rice. Our team is divided into different parts to make sure each step is clear and easy to follow. First, Maliki will introduce the ingredients. Then, Mira will explain how to cook the chicken. Next, Carol will demonstrate how to cook the rice. After that, Fisa will show how to prepare the chili sauce. Finally, His will demonstrate the plating of the chicken rice. By the end of this video, you will able to see the full process of making chicken rice step by step. So, let’s get started. For this recipe, we divide the ingredients into four main parts, which are the rice, the chicken, the soap, and the chili sauce. Each part has its own list of items, and all of them are important to complete the dish. First, for the rice, we need rice, garlic, ginger, panda leaves, and chicken stock. These ingredients will be prepared together as the base of the meal. Next, for the chicken, we use a whole chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey or sugar, salt, and pepper. This set of ingredients is used to prepare the main protein of the dish. For the soup, we need chicken stock, garlic, ginger, spring onion, and fried shallots. These are the ingredients that are combined to prepare the soup. Finally, for the chili sauce, we need red chilies, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, sugar, salt, and a little bit of lime juice. These ingredients are blended together to make the sauce. So, these are the four groups of ingredients that we need in order to prepare chicken rice. The rice, the chicken, the soup, and the chili sauce all come together to make the dish complete. For the next part, the cooking step will be explained by my friend. Now, let’s cook the rice. First, eat a little bit of oil or chicken fat if you have it because that make the rice taste even better. Then add the garlic and ginger. Fry them until they smell nice and fragrant. This smell is base that give the rice a good flavor. After that, add in the rice that has already been washed. Stir it well. So the rice mix with the garlic and ginger and oil. Put in a few pandan leaf too because they make the rice smell really nice. Next, pour in the chicken stock. Make sure the rice is fully covered. The chicken stock is what make this rice different from normal white rice. It give the rice a rich tasty flavor that mash perfectly with the chicken. Now let the rice cook slowly. As it cooks, it will become soft, fluffy, and full of aroma. When it’s already When it’s ready, the rice will smell amazing and taste delicious. And that’s it. Fluffy rice with the taste of chicken. Perfect to enjoy with our main dish. To enjoy tik rice m cooking the soap and chili sauce. For the soap firstly we use the lef over chicken stock from ilier. Add garlic, ginger, salt and pepper. Let it bowl for a few minutes. Before serving, add spring onions and fried shallots on top. Next, for the chili sauce, blend red chilies, garlic, ginger, sugar, salt, chicken stocks, and a little lime juice. This chili sauce is spicy and tangy which balance the flavor of the rice and chicken. Now let us prepare chicken which is star of first take a whole chicken and clean it properly. We boil the chicken in a bowl of water together with garlic and ginger. This step help to remove any unwanted smell and also make the chicken tender. While boiling, we can also add a little bit of salt to season the chicken and give the brute a nice flavor. Once the chicken is about half coo, remove it from the pot and let it cool for a few minutes. At this stage, the chicken is ready to be marinated. For the marinade, we mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, all sugar, salt, and pepper. This combination give the chicken a rich taste, salty, sweet, and slightly savory. Gently rub the marinade all over the chicken so that the flavor goes deep inside. After marinating we can cook the chicken in two different way. The first method is frying which give the chicken crispy golden skin. The second method is roasting or grilling which make the outside slightly charred but keep the inside juicy. Either way the chicken will turn out flavorful, tender and aromatic. Finally, after cooking, let the chicken rest for a while before cutting it into the piece. This make it easier to serve and keep the juice inside me. Now our chicken is ready to be plated together with rice later. Now it’s finally time to plate and serve our delicious chicken rice. First we start by placing a generous portion of the fragrant rice onto the plate. Then arrange the tender chicken sliced neatly on top or beside the rice. Add a few slice of fresh cucumber on the side of the refreshing crunch. Next, pour the clear, flavorful chicken soup into a small bowl and place it beside the plate. And of course, no chicken light is complete without spicy chili sauce. So, don’t forget to serve that, too. Now, we have the full set rice, chicken, soup, sauce, and vegetable. All beautifully presented. This is a complete chicken rice. A harmonious balance of flavor and texture. From the fragrant rice to the juicy chicken, the warm of the soup and the kick of the chili sauce. In conclusion, chicken rice is more than just a meal.
