For 100 dollars. A genesis but not sure of age or anything else.
This is a OfferUp find.
I have a spirit e330 from 3 years ago that’s just fine but figured it couldn’t hurt to get this.
I want a performer, but I would like to see if this is better than my spirit, it’s a genesis after all…and for a 100 bucks and about 90 minutes round trip.

Let me know your thoughts!

  1. I did do that. Same price. Was in worse shape. But it’s a Weber. Is there such a thing as bad shape? No regrets.

I bought the griddle insert too, so run mine like a black stone. Was a fun purchase

Yes that looks like it’s in good shape.

  3. Would I get this? No. I’m a charcoal guy. I use propane to heat my house, run the kitchen stove/oven, and power my Generac generator.

But if you cook with gas, and you like it, then for $100 it’s definitely worth it.

Have the same grill and have work horsed it for the last 7-8 years. Havent had to do anything to it- it just keeps trucking.

  5. That genesis is probably from around 2012. I have a 2007 which has the three burners that go side ways. That design lasted about 4 to 5 years, I think. The next model design had the 3 burners on the front.

The frame, firebox, and lid look just like mine, so that’s why I’m thinking it’s the 2012-ish era genesis.

    Absolutely in a heart beat.

A lot of times these things are pretty solid. Sometimes though from what I’ve seen, the bottom part where the propane tank gets rusted out, but these things are recent enough to where I think you can even get a new bottom piece.

A weber three burner with sear Zone and a side burner is my dream Genesis

  7. Buy. The Genesis II I picked up as an upgrade over my Spirit earlier this summer gets nearly 100 degrees hotter. Love it.

Have one 10 years or more. Recently added a Weber Planche to it for griddle and it’s just an amazing grill. The genesis griddle is a tad short for this grill but a few bolts to keep it from falling in and it’s all good

    YES!!!!
I have the grill in gray with stainless steel. I have a cover for it. It’s at least 15 years old and still beautiful.

I’ve had one for decades – still works like a charm. That one looks to be in pretty decent shape. Definitely a buy from me

Bargain imo. Paid more for an older model recently, same/similar color, which I prefer. Yours looks just as clean! That’s the most important. Evidence of low use and high level of maintenance.

I’d do that, then flip the grates over and use them properly

I got this exact model (built in 2008 per the sticker) free from a coworker and cleaned up this afternoon. I ordered replacement flavor bars and heat deflectors, might get replacement grates too but for free-99 it’ll last years after replacing the guts of it.
