basic vanilla cake with vanilla bean buttercream frosting! next time I want to try a swiss meringue buttercream (i’ve never attempted) since it might be smoother and easier to spread over the cake.

overall, im happy with the way it came out and can’t wait to bake some more!

sounds delicious and looks like a sweet success, swiss meringue buttercream is a game-changer, def try it next time, smoother than a jazz sax solo, happy baking!

If you attempt Swiss meringue buttercream make sure you look up the tricks to “fix” it, it’s fickle but there are solutions if it comes out too thick/grainy or runny. I follow Sally’s Baking addiction.

    Beautiful work!
