Spent 3 days in NYC and had a blast. Definitely used this subreddit for some
Input and research.

Dinner at Don Angie:
Everything was excellent and coming from LA, we don’t have many refined and polished Italian restaurants like this.

New Yorker slice L’industrie West Village:
Excellent slice, really light and balanced.

Prix Fixe Lunch at Le Bernardin:
Fun experience. A bit dated but quality of seafood and sauces were quite good. 3rd photo is signature tuna dish.

NOT PICTURED:
Dinner at Ayat which was OK, I did enjoy the m’skhan chicken dish.

Breakfast sandwiches from daily provisions which were solid and good quality.

Lox bagel from Best Bagel and Coffee on 35th which was solid as well with no lines and generous fillings.

Slices from Best Pizza in Williamsburg which was really nice and light. And a slice from Upside Pizza which was a bit too heavy and greasy but still enjoyable.

Looking forward to coming back next year and if anyone has any other essential recommendations please let me know.

Same, I recently went to Ayat a second time and although delicious it wasn’t memorable or great. Don’t know if me and OP are the outliers or others have had similar experiences?

Your first three are exactly what we did during our trip! Haha I was like “no way” then again they are hugely popular and established spots.
I would definitely go back to Don Angie out of the 3!

Amazing! Glad you enjoyed everything. How did you manage to get into Don Agie? Did you walk in or have a reservation?

If you come back during the holidays, I remember Daily Provisions had a delicious hot chocolate with house-made marshmallow. Not sure if they still do it but it stood out among the other hot chocolates i had.

L’Industrie is definitely an overhyped place, but I can totally see the value of having it as a light meal within a trip like this.
