Have to paint these rings gold tomorrow and am so scared of ruining them 😅 I struggle with getting a good consistency with the luster dust (using everclear vodka) and it always pools at the bottom. Any tips are greatly appreciated ❤️

I always stir so the brush is well coated, then remove any excess on the side of the cup so there isnt much liquid on the brush for fine details.

Then I’ll barely touch the brush on the top and it spreads down the detail without pooling. You do have to move pretty slow for fine details because one bad move and you’ll mess up, so just be patient and take your time. Don’t try to get it perfect in one coat, do a base coat and then another to really make it shine.

For consistency – add a few drops and mix, then add a few more and repeat just until there are 0 chunks. I mix slowly as it’s very easy to add too much vodka and that’ll make it way harder to work with. Good luck, I’m sure they’ll look great!

I use a dropper with my vodka in it and just put the very bare minimum and then add like one more drop and let it sit for a few minutes. Give it a stir and check the consistency. While it sits some of the vodka will evaporate off and it’ll thicken. Also, thinner brush works best for me. (I use an eyeliner brush bought specifically for that purpose only.)
