Jagoffs empowered because the VP clown told them to do this.

If you keep the second paragraph alone the reply would be perfect. A head chef who keeps his social media profile public should know that anything posted can be used against them, especially if it’s political, divisive and especially if their username is identical or can be linked to their full name and title as it appears on the restaurant website or social media.

Handled perfectly, Charlie Kirk can suck a fuck along with the shooter, now how do you want your steak?

Purely business wise, its never a good idea to dissuade half your patrons with a political post. If your conservative leaning customers were none the wiser and ate there, they’ll have doubts now if they ever read that comment.
Edit: If they could read.

Keep your personal feelings out of your business regardless of what political side you lean towards.

Brother… the restaurant business is hard enough. You will drive yourself crazy if you take the time to respond to every shit stain with a negative comment on the internet.
If you get a shitty review for something unrelated like this, you just report it. If you get a shitty review for something you deserve, you reflect and improve. Only respond to positivity.

This is why I had a fake profile on places like Facebook, last thing I needed (because I deleted FB 5 years ago) was to have my business trolled by extremist MAGAs.
Loklokloka
Eh, while i get the want to dunk on a guy like this, business wise keeping its not the best look.
republicans buy sneakers too, and all that.

A local coffee shop did this recently. It’s fucked up they were in a Facebook group asking people to harass her online
SilentlySad
If you haven’t figured out yet, there is an army of people hunting for professionals that have anything remotely negative to say about Charlie Kirk.
Sounds like it might be related.
Doctors, teachers, professors, anesthesiologist… all losing their jobs.
Restaurants, retailers, shit Office Depot went down 5% because a couple ass clowns wouldn’t print a poster.

“I’d never eat anywhere that celebrated the death of a fascist” is a weird take. Can you imagine if Hitler died today, people be having a fit going “you’re being divisive, he had some good qualities!” fucking clowns.

Considering the context I’d wear it with pride.

Not professional but correct. No reason why a review should be getting posted to cry about politics. Not even hateful, or rude posts, just political posts??? This critique doesn’t really deserve a response and bro should not of said anything but to be honest the frustration is justified and I would take it down, ask him not to do it again but that’s it. If he does something like this after that I would reprimand

most of the places I work are fine dining with high reputations and we have a “morals Claus” and “social media” Claus writing in our contracts
basically we can get fired for writing racist or sexist shit on social media even as an employee because it comes across as ‘representing the business’

Unfortunately as a business owner you have to remember that your personal life will always be seen as an extension of your professional life. Should there be a clearly defined boundary between the two? Yes. Does that boundary occur in reality? No. If you are comfortable with the loss of some clientele because of your personal beliefs, then f*&# em. If not, then maybe get off social media where you can be easily identified. Social media is bad for your mental health anyways, and 99% of the people out there don’t really want to know what you think anyways, so that may be a good reason to get off social media anyways. I did 9 years ago (except reddit) when I started my business and I have never been happier.

This reminds me of the post where the Server gets a terrible review and turns it into a T-shirt to wear at work. I think it should become a trend. Even better, post a picture of the douchebags leaving the review on the back of the review.
I don’t think the average customer actually understands the effect a negative online review can have. But seeing that review on a T-shirt so they can see themselves ridiculed might change that perspective a bit.
It drives me crazy when my wife goes on Yelp or Google to find a place to eat. I sincerely believe that the majority of reviews in many cases are fake just to get better ratings. But SO many people insist on using these sites. So seeing this response above sort of makes me happy.

Lmao no, this is the worst way possible to handle a 1 star review. Jesus christ.
