There’s a new Italian restaurant in town, serving fresh, handmade artisanal pasta.

Da Cecot is a new, authentic Italian kitchen where families, students, and people of all ages can gather and eat delicious, nutritious meals.

The family-run business is from the rich cultures of Nigeria and Italy, from Diego, Erika, and their sons Giovanni and Ennio. They moved to Canada in 2021 after many years in the town of Plasencia and Cormons. With them, they brought their traditions, flavours, and community-driven attitude and warmth.

Da Cecot translates to “from our home” or “in our family,” which is the promise the business makes when operating: to run the business the way the family runs their home, with simplicity, care, and authenticity.

Situated on the edge of 104th Street, Da Cecot is the newest addition to Whyte Avenue’s ever-growing collection of restaurants.

This restaurant offers a rotating menu of fresh, daily-made pasta. Pastas can also be purchased to cook at home. Starting in October, the restaurant will even start offering pasta classes twice monthly.

Open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, this warm Italian spot has so much to offer throughout the week.

Whether it’s for lunch with a friend or dinner with a loved one, Da Cecot is there with mouthwatering fresh pasta dishes.
