    Not all 2020s have been smoky. Was this one really obviously smoky?

    Not every 2020 has smoke taint. I’ve had plenty of 2020 Napa with zero smoke taint. Looking at the reviews from CellarTracker, Silver Oak doesn’t have a ton of smoke taint in 2020.

    Respectfully, there are so many better ways to spend sixty bucks at a wine shop. But, if you’re happy with it I suppose that counts for something.

    If a winery released a 2020 that means it does not have smoke taint, aside from 2 maybe 3 commercial examples. The effects on commercially available bottles have been grossly overstated
