Truly, this is the end of an era.

The building at 212 Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire has been the home of Michael Buckley’s food for over 30 years.  For the past 3 years, it has been known as Mike’s Italian Kitchen and now it’s time to say goodbye.

Michael Buckley has owned several different variations of his restaurant at that location.  At one point it was Michael Timothy’s, then it was MT’s and now it is Mike’s Italian Kitchen until Saturday, October 4, 2025.

People React To the News of Mike’s Italian Kitchen Closing in Nashua, NH

After the announcement was made, there were so many people sharing memories of a place that has become so important to Nashua:

The building, the food, the staff made every iteration of the restaurant special to us. It will be sorely missed!

The laughter, compassion and generosity that was shared by all whom came to enjoy outstanding creativity, and a genuine atmosphere of warmth and professionalism. Thank you Michael and Sarah for being who you are and giving so much to so many.

The end of a great era for sure. I have wonderful memories working there when it was Michael Timothy’s back in the early 2000’s. I made lifelong friends and will always cherish that period of my life. All the best to Michael and Sarah.

Chef Michael Buckley Owns Several Other Restaurants in NH and He Wants MoreThe announcement of this closing mentions that they want to take Buckley’s Market Cafe concept to Downtown Portsmouth.  That immediately made me think of the space recently vacated by Hearth Eatery and Bar.  If Michael wants to have the Market Cafe concept in downtown, can you think of a better spot?  Maybe the space that used to be the Portsmouth Brewery would work too?  So many options with so many places closing.

All the best to Michael and Sarah.  They are really good people.  Looking forward to what’s next for the Buckley’s!
