So I was given a Kamado Joe that belonged to a family member that had passed. She originally purchased it probably 15+ years ago. I'm guessing it might predate the original classic I? The shelves are made of wood and I haven't found a version like this anywhere online.
It needed a bit of a refresh so I spent the last week cleaning, repainting all of the black metal, sanding, staining and sealing the wooden slats, upgrading the felt gasket, replacing the casters (Casters were found on a reddit kamado thread BTW) and also adding the Chef'sTemp Thermometer and Fan. Very happy how it came out.
I'm very interested in some of the newer accessories that exist now but am curious if they would actually fit in my Kamado. I really want to the Slo Roller rack along with the Divide and Conquer. Anyone know if this is an option for my model?

Classic 1
Also, I do not believe the slow roller will work. Not enough height. Though I have the classic 1 and friends that have the 2 and 3 with the slow roller. Not really a noticeable difference. You won’t miss it. I would advise a rotisserie! The divide and conquer with the half moon deflector plates will work and is a must.
Happy smoking
Nice job cleaning up that classic 1.
I have a 1 with divide and conquer and a secondhand 3 that came with slo roller.
Slo roller is a useless gimmick. Just smoke indirect with deflectors and you’re good to go.

Classic 1 I’m pretty sure. I have a classic 3. I do use the slo roller only as a way to do double indirect, but I wouldn’t purchase one just for that. I would just get a pizza stone and use that if you want to create double indirect
