The condition is very good. Although the vintage is average, you should always trust Petrus.

I have no reason to not trust Petrus, but I’ve also never tried it

The 2014 Bordeaux vintage is often described as a “late savior.” A cool spring and a rainy summer created some uncertainty, but September and October brought ideal warmth and dryness, allowing Merlot to reach proper ripeness. For Pomerol, the deep clay soils were decisive, retaining water through the heat, preventing stress, and enabling Petrus to craft a wine of poise and unexpected depth. black cherry, ripe plum, blueberry compote, and a touch of blackcurrant preserve. violets and dried rose, black truffle…The entry is astonishingly silky, immediately showcasing Petrus’ hallmark texture. While it can be enjoyed now for its youthful vibrancy, patience will reward the drinker with far greater depth and complexity.

Petrus in off vintages can be very exciting, more often than not they are able to get incredible depth and breadth regardless of the season. That vineyard is truly something else.

Great winemakers make good wine regardless of vintage.

That code38 guy was a douche with me. I paid for the corkscrew and it wasn’t cheap at all and he made me pay taxes on top of that.
Perhaps I was stupid or whatever, but when I mailed him he didn’t even bother to answer.
Luckily, that shit was in my luggage that was stolen from SF Airport flying BA so I got the whole price back.
Every time I see these shits I laugh my ass off.
Literally 0 costumer service when selling the most expensive corkscrews. I wished him enjoyable sales to the asian billionaires and young hospitality professional who believe in this shit
