Lee is known for her modern Italian restaurants in the St. Louis area. Four types of frozen pizzas will be at Target stores nationwide.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Chef Katie Lee is bringing the pizzas from her popular Italian eateries to another national retailer.

On Wednesday, Lee’s company announced that four frozen pizzas will be sold at Target stores nationwide.

Just last year, the chef landed a nationwide distribution deal with Walmart.

In a press release, the company said the pizzas are still handmade with no automation. The crust is hand-stretched and wood-fired at 800 degrees Fahrenheit, using house-made sauces.

“When I was homeless, everything I owned would have fit into one of their shopping bags, now I’ve made it to Target’s shelves with Katie’s pizzas. I’ve come a long way, and our team is always pushing, no matter the odds,” said Lee. “As a busy working mom, it’s hard to find convenient, real food – so we made it ourselves. This is real food for the soul handcrafted with the best ingredients. There’s nothing else like it and we’re proud to stand behind that.”

Katie’s Burrata Margherita Frozen Pizza: Katie’s house-made sauce, Burrata, extra virgin olive oil, Mozzarella, Parmesan, basil and sea salt.Katie’s Pepperoni Stracciatella Pizza: pepperoni drizzled with wildflower honey, Stracciatella and Fontina cheeses, and extra virgin olive oil.Katie’s Meatball Frozen Pizza: hand-rolled meatballs, Italian sausage, Parmesan, toasted pine nuts and breadcrumbs, Fontina and Parmesan cheese and Katie’s house made sauce.Katie’s Black Garlic Burrata Cheese Pizza: black garlic impasto, Burrata, Pecorino Romano and dried chives.

Lee has three Katie’s Pizza and Pasta restaurants in the St. Louis area, located in Ballpark Village, Rock Hill and Town & Country.

The release said that Lee’s frozen pizza business first started during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, which grew into regional and national distribution, followed by permanent shelf space in some local and regional grocery chains.
