An award-winning chef from the best Italian restaurant in the world will be in Toronto for a very limited time.
Chef Nello Cassese is coming to the city for an exclusive two-night culinary experience as he brings his internationally acclaimed cuisine to Park Hyatt Toronto’s Joni Restaurant as part of their Global Chef Series.
Currently the executive chef at the Michelin-starred Ristorante Hotel Cipriani in Rio de Janeiro — recently named the best Italian restaurant in the world by the 50 Top Italy 2025 guide. Cassese will travel to Toronto exclusively for this experience taking place on Oct. 30 and Nov. 1.
Celebrated for his refined Italian cuisine and international recognition, Cassese trained under legendary chef Gordon Ramsay across multiple Michelin-starred restaurants in London and will guide guests through a seven course Italian tasting menu during the Toronto dining experience.
In collaboration with Park Hyatt Toronto’s executive chef Jonathan Williams, the menu was crafted to highlight authentic Italian flavours with modern artistry.

As a Michelin-starred chef, Cassese was born in Naples, Italy, and led Ristorante Hotel Cipriani to its first Michelin Star in 2019. Under his direction, the restaurant was also named one of the 100 Best Restaurants in Latin America in 2024 and awarded Best Italian Restaurant in the World by 50 Top Italy this year.
Known as a refined urban retreat, Park Hyatt Toronto, located in the heart of the city’s Yorkville neighbourhood, is recognized among the most distinguished hotels in the area and is one of the few properties in Toronto that has been awarded a Michelin Key.
