ODESSA, Wash. — If you’re looking to grab a delicious bratwurst, hear some great music and maybe dust off your lederhosen, check out this weekend’s Deutschesfest in Odessa!

From September 18-21, the town of Odessa, a town originally settled by the descendants of German Russians, will come alive with Deutschesfest, one of the longest-running German-style festivals in Washington.

Since 1971, the event has been a chance to celebrate “Gemütlichkeit,” a German word meaning “the spirit of comradeship and good times.”

Over the weekend, thousands of people travel to Odessa to enjoy traditional food, music and entertainment.

Events include a biergarten, corn hole tournament, street fair, German food court, a parade on 1st Avenue and live music.
