Bought this a couple months ago and going to fire it up for a first cook soon. Anything i need to fix/purchase before then? I know i need to get a stand/something to put under it. Anyone have recommendations for that? Thinking about wings for first cook

Looks great. But after a couple posts today I’d double check the clearances and such on that table. Hate to see you have an issue.
Make sure the egg bottom isn’t touching wood. Double check it for cracks
Need at least an inch air-gap clearance around the egg and the cutout for the egg on the table else that table is going up in flames. Get a stand or BGE feet and set them on a paver, and put the egg on that for the same reason.
You’re going to be in a world of shit if you don’t get that egg in a nest. You need an air gap between the base and your table.
Edit- also get a fire resistant mat underneath that table too.
Put a couple of these under the base.

Dang this post may be saving you from a nightmare it’s resting right on the wood
You can buy feet for the EGG, I suggest you add a thick tile and feet
Get this before you cook. https://a.co/d/9QNV69G
This is tomorrow’s “what did I do wrong” 🏠🔥 post!
As others have said don’t light this thing till you have a paver and stand beneath that egg. Also something fireproof on the deck by the egg won’t go a miss.
I think the safety aspects have been covered. On other notes, before you use the plate setter for the first time, cover the flat part in foil to catch drips and keep them off of it. Change out each time you cook indirect, and it will keep the platesetter much cleaner. I didn’t cover my first one, and had a drip pan of water leak onto mine, cracking the platesetter and causing me to buy another one. Also, on the daisy wheel. look into one of the stainless steel ones. I’ve found them to be better in maintaining the upper air gap when the lid is opened during a cook.
Spacing according to BGE docs is a minimum of 1″. They say 1-3″.
How far away is the bottom of your BGE from the table? looks like it’s in contact. I’d add a ceramic spacer.
No way I’m parking my egg on a wooden stand on a deck. https://www.reddit.com/r/biggreenegg/s/L8P1uuB1MB
You gon burn that deck to the ground son
