A 75-year-old bus driver in Venango County is facing charges after allegedly telling students “I am going to cook you all,” then turning on the heat. Sugarcreek Borough Police Department said multiple parents made complaints after their children came off a bus from school extremely sweaty and crying on Wednesday. The students told their parents Harvey Sliker, their bus driver, told them to close their bus windows and turned on the heat to punish the children for their behavior. After closing the windows, Sliker allegedly said “I am going to cook you all.” According to officers, with the windows up, heat on and the outside temperature of 74 degrees, inside the bus can reach between 95 and 100 degrees. Sliker is accused of then telling the children he was going to bring a paddle for them the following day. The children inside the bus ranged from 5 years old to 12 years old. Sliker is facing charges of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
