Hello everyone! Today, I’m showing you my secret to perfectly roasted potatoes: a simple, flavourful marinade. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

1/2 stick of butter
10+ cloves of garlic
1 small piece of ginger
A handful of fresh or frozen parsley, chopped
Mixed herbs
Ground white pepper
Potatoes (preferably organic)

Instructions

Make the Marinade: Melt half a stick of butter in a small pot over low heat. While it’s melting, mince the garlic and ginger. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic, ginger, chopped parsley, mixed herbs, and ground white pepper. Stir and let the flavours blend for a minute or two.

Prepare the Potatoes: Wash your potatoes and slice them halfway through on each side. This creates little pockets for the marinade to seep into.

Marinate & Bake: Place the sliced potatoes on a baking tray. Pour the marinade all over them, making sure each one is well-coated. Pop the tray into the oven at 220°C (200°C for fan ovens or Gas Mark 7).

This marinade is super versatile and works great on any meat or even other vegetables. I had some extra, so I used it on a piece of fish!

[Music] along with some mixed herbs and a dash of ground white pepper. Let that simmer for a minute or two to let the flavors blend. Now for the potatoes. Wash a few potatoes. I prefer organic. And slice them halfway through on each side. This creates little pockets for the marinade to seep into, making every bite delicious. [Music] Place the sliced potatoes on a baking tray. Then pour that amazing marinade all over them. Take your time to make sure they’re all coated. [Music] I had some extra marinade, so I decided to use it on a piece of fish I’m cooking. This marinade is super versatile and works great on any meat or even other vegetables. Pop the tray into the oven at 220° C, 200° C for fan ovens or gas mark 7. After baking, your potatoes and fish are ready. They’re so delicious and pair perfectly with just about anything. [Music] I also made a white sauce to go with them.
