I think this is an Oklahoma Joe Longhorn Offset smoker? It's in pretty solid shape?

    Awesome score

    These little
Offset Ones run best on a combo of charcoal and small splits or chunks

Unless you are doing country hill style and loading red hot firewood coal/embers into the firebox – which I do when I’m broke – we upgraded to a larger one and it just consumes more firewood and bigger splits

If we didn’t get free oak and cherry I would rethink an offset lol

Offset is the only way I cook….not saying it’s better or not….. just saying I was taught on an offset and 30yrs later it’s still the only way for me

Definitely a score. It’ll hold the heat well, too. Add that 2nd thermometer. Elbow down the chimney to the grate and she’s gravy.

I just got the same one yesterday for free off the street!

They sell smoke stack extenders to improve flow aswell.

That is a score. Even has a chimney starter, a bonus!

My offset has legs that you can use to take the lil guy off the main grill and use it as a tiny portable for smaller, more controlled cooks. You dont have to disconnect it for that function, but if you want a lakeside bbq that’s portable, I’d say throw that bitch in the sand n go for it!

Any grill that burns real wood is a good grill. This sub is quite overwhelmingly into ex bake ovens and this post is like a breath of fresh air.
