I got my new to me smoker about 2 months ago and I’m finally doing a pair of briskets
Bought this Lyfe Tyme off marketplace for $600 and it has been great with pork belly and ribs. Giving brisket a try now

I can’t tell from the picture angle, but don’t get your heat too close to that nice wooden fence.

Brisket is not forgiving and you doubled down in your first attempt.
I would have done a butt and brisket. Butt is a forgiving meat and proof that God made pigs to show he loves smoked meats.
