I always thought it was a little odd that post oak pellets weren’t available like every other wood. I was in Dallas last week, I saw these and I had to pick them up stupidly thinking they were 100% hardwood post oak. Nope. I didn't read through fine print, it's mostly oak. Maybe they held the bag up and showed it a post.

Why aren't post oak pellets more of a thing, does this wood not translate well to pellet grills?

A while ago I asked Bear Mountain about their oak. It’s 100% oak made of post oak and red oak but they couldn’t tell me the % of each. Could be similar with other manufacturers.

For some reason post oak is hard to find in stores. Born/raised in DFW and spent time out west TX where post oak is king. Even there, hard to find in store.

Academy sells the chips but nobody likes chips.

Do they have pre-oak, or just oak?

Funny, I have a bag sitting by my front door, didn’t read either so I guess we have oak blend pellets. I guess for $16 it won’t go to waste.
