Hello and welcome to my channel. Today I’m cooking some green beans with potato and uh spring onion or spring green. So, we’re going to start cooking now. So, the first thing I need is um the green beans. So, I start by chopping the green beans. by the end. Then cut them into two which I which I’m going to put in a bowl for now. So I cut them into two and also cut them another two. So, sorry. I cut them I take the end off and then cut them into two. Maybe if I use the bigger bigger knife, it’s easy. So, this is 500 g of green beans that I’m using. And this um recipe is for about three people because I’m gonna have it as a side dish. I’m not going to have it as um for as salad at the end of the uh after the meal. Then you can have it as a side dish. There is another way of cooking the green beans like uh with garlic butter green beans which is really really nice. I have made a video about it. If you want to watch it then uh you’re welcome to watch it. So, next I cut them into two. Like I said, if they small, I don’t cut them. But if they big, then obviously I will cut them. Okay, that’s uh enough cutting now. Maybe just one more. Now with this green beans, I’m going to I’ve been boiling some water. So I’m going to put them inside the water which I’m boiling and let that boil for about 3 minutes. Just three minutes. Now I have um my potato. So I peel the potato and I boil it for around uh half an hour until it becomes like this. So this is the potato that I boiled earlier. So I’m going to start cutting it into small pieces. So this is the potato. I cut it into two. It’s already boiled. So And then I cut it like this. So I cut it into two. Then I cut it into three. Don’t let it um get mushed because it’s easy to for the potato to get mushed if you leave it um more than it should be and you won’t be able to slice it. So, I’m going to start by transferring the first lot into that bowl. and then carry on cutting the rest because I will need all the potatoes in order for me to finish the salad. If it’s big like this, you can cut it into four. [Music] So, I’m going to be using just this potato. So, I had five potatoes. So, I had a five potatoes which I chopped. Now, I’m going to add some uh spring onion to it. And I think two of them will do. So, I take the biggest one because I want the biggest one. So, I take the cut the end off. I don’t cut just take the first leaf off. and I cut it up to here cuz I don’t want this but I want that. So I cut it up to here. You can still use this one for stir fry or anything like that, but I at the moment I’m not doing anything with it. So, I’m going to give it a quick wash then then cut it into two. Then slice it. Now, my green beans are ready. As you can see, they’ve been boiling for about 3 minutes, and I don’t need to boil them more than 3 minutes, otherwise they’re going to be mushy instead of being crunchy. So, what I do now is just I just take the water off and then um So, now I’m just going to drain them from the water. As you can see, just gonna drain this pins from the water. I usually drain it in the in the sink, but then because I need to show you how I’m doing it. So that the reason why I’m draining it here. So I take this off. Then then throw this away. So I have my green beans, my bold potato, my spring onion, and I need some parsley as well. So now I’m just going to let it cool down a bit. and start chopping my start chopping my uh my um parsley. So, I take the parsley. It’s a big bunch of parsley, but it’s really nice for you. I like the parsley. You can just take the leaf off and leave this uh out, but because it’s very time consuming and um I rather have it all and it’s really nice anyway. So there’s no big difference when you eat it like that. We eat it So, my parsley is ready. I don’t like to chop it any more than this. So now I’m going to take the potato. I’m going to add my spring onion first. Then I will add the green beans. And I will add the parsley. [Music] Before I mix them, I need to put some seasoning. So, the seasoning that I’m going to be putting, which I’m going to be making now. So, I’m going to be chopping two small garlics. And I cut them this way because I want them just a tiny bit. Now with the big knife I cut them even more. even more. Now we have the garlic. Now I need a small bowl. I put some olive oil, about 3 tablespoon of olive oil, maybe a bit more, a bit of black pepper, just a tiny bit of black pepper. I would say about one out of 10 of the teaspoon. A bit of garlic powder. Sorry, uh onion powder. Sorry, I got the wrong one. Just a bit of onion powder. A tiny bit of time. My two chopped garlics. A tiny bit of lemon juice and a bit of Dijon. mustard [Music] [Applause] and just whisk it with the um with the fork. One thing I forgot to put is the salt. So I need to put You need to add a bit of salt as well. So I just put tiny bit of salt, not much. And then just My dressing is ready now. So, I’m going to take the salad that I made, spread the whole thing over it. [Applause] And with these two wooden spoon, I just mix it together. I will so also be adding olives because I like olives. If you like olive that will be even better. So you add a bit of olives as well. And then just mix it together again. Now I’m going to transfer the whole lot into a bigger plate and then you will see the result. And now I’m just going to transfer everything into one single plate. And I will add just a tiny bit of olives because I love my olives. Like I said, I will add a little bit more of olives because I love my olives. So, this is the potato, spring onions, um green beans, olives, olive oil, garlic, onion powder, uh salt and pepper, and um lemon juice. And that’s what I do. So, we got the potato and the green beans. So you got uh potato, green beans, parsley, olives, spring onion, olive oil, salt and pepper, lemon juice, and a bit of dijon mustard and also a bit of uh onion um powder. And this is the result. I’m going to give it a try and see whether it’s nice. Honestly, it’s absolutely amazing. Really nice. Really, really nice. You should try it. Give it a go and see the result. So I cooked the potato for about 20 to 25 minutes and and the uh how I knew that it was um cooked is that I put the knife inside. If you feel that there is a liquid or anything sticky then leave it a bit more otherwise is cooked. With the green beans I only cook it for about 3 minutes maximum. So, I put I boil the water, then I put it inside the water for about 3 minutes because I want my green beans to be uh crunchy. I don’t want them to be mushy. Um and also I use fresh parsley, fresh um springles, olive oil, which is a must. So, I use this one. So, this one is um perfect for pouring. So, you got two one of them. So the one this one is for salads and you’ve got another olive oil which is for frying. Um but this one is mainly for salads and then you’ve got olives um salt and pepper mustard and it’s really really nice. So this is the potato and that’s the green beans. So if you made that before, let me know how you made them. So I’m going to show you a bit how potato looks like. So this is what I’ve been making. So I boiled the potato for about 20 to 25 minutes. And the way I knew that the potato was ready um is by putting the knife inside and seeing whether the if it’s not stick if it’s not sticky then the potato is ready to be used for cooking. So I I chop the potato into three slices. So two into two then into three. Then I put some spring roll, sorry, spring uh spring spring onion, some parsley, and I cooked my green beans for about 3 minutes. So don’t overcook your green beans. Just boil the water and put your green beans to cook for about 3 minutes. They will be crunchy. They will not be soft and they will be crunchy. And I like them to be crunchy. So I used potato, green beans, spring onion, parsley, olives, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper, onion granul, and also I used a bit of dijon mustard which gave me a really nice um taste to it. So this is the potato and green beans that I’ve been making today. Um let me know in the comment which potato green be uh which uh which potato salad you like. If you like it with green beans or you like it without green beans or if is there is any other way of doing it. I also like um potatoes and steamed carrots or boiled carrots. It’s also very very nice. So I use the same thing just uh instead of putting beans I put carrots. So I chop the carrot into small uh rounds and then I will just um so just showing you how the potato and the green beans looks like. So you got green beans here. It’s very crunchy. It’s not stick. It’s not It’s not overcooked. And the same thing we need every ingredient and the taste of P it’s really really nice. Thank you for watching.
